C-10's 2025 Year End Review

November 25, 2025
Dear C-10 Community,
Over the course of 2025 two major themes emerged at C-10: endurance and evolution. Despite a year filled with upheaval and rapid change, we were able to persist and adapt just as quickly. Our mission speaks for itself: We are here to monitor, educate, and advocate and the only “team” we play for is one that every person living near Seabrook Station belongs to. C-10’s independent, citizen-led oversight has become more important than ever before. In 2025 we doubled down on our programs to consistently provide:
- High-quality environmental radiation monitoring to ensure radiation levels in the air stay within the allowed limits, with our network of 20 probes operating and transmitting every minute, of every day;
- Dozens of in person and online opportunities for the public to access free emergency planning resources, owed to us by law, from FEMA and Seabrook Station owners NextEra;
- Research and advocacy action against frightening changes proposed in recent federal laws and executive orders, that would reduce transparency and accountability at Seabrook Station;
- Growing relationships with scientists and researchers in the private sector and academic institutions, sharing our millions of radiation monitoring data points to uncover new truths about the impacts of radiation on health, how radioactive pollution is carried by weather systems, how radionuclides emitted from the Seabrook reactor have been concentrating in our soil, and more.
- Consistent communication with inspectors at the plant when safety is in question such as during the “geomagnetic events” when the northern lights were recently glowing overhead, or during the earthquakes that shook many homes last year.
We are laser-focused on making sure that our work always ties back to improving safety for our local community. We have enjoyed support from all corners of our community, including both sides of the aisle in New Hampshire and Massachusetts state governments. We have increased direct communication with NextEra management at Seabrook Station, holding annual meetings to discuss C-10’s concerns and identify where we have shared goals. We are in frequent contact with the two Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Resident Inspectors who are charged with holding Seabrook Station to the rulebook.
Whether you have been with us the entire 34 years we have been fighting for public health and safety, or you just became aware of C-10 this year at a community event or read about us online, your support is critical to helping our entire community stay safer.

FULL STEAM AHEAD! UPCOMING C-10 INITIATIVES IN 2026:

C-10 strongly believes that external forces seeking to create chaos, diminish civility, and erode connection between neighbors are doomed to fail spectacularly in our wonderful local community. Since 1991, we have aimed to embody a grassroots spirit, prioritizing personal connections with local residents, workers, and leaders. Our success has always been a result of support from community members like you. You empower C-10 to keep pushing our way into rooms where nuclear safety decisions are being made, pulling our own seat up to the table to serve as a voice for the people. We are immensely grateful for your continued support.
With best wishes for safety and good health,
Sarah Abramson, Executive Director
